HUMAN TRAFFICKING
Website Interface Alteration
The concept involves a provocative alteration of the familiar Amazon website interface, reimagined as an 'International Store' selling humans. This unsettling visual metaphor aims to convey the ease with which human trafficking occurs and the insidious way it is woven into normalcy.
Awareness Posters and Digital Media
The use of shocking statistics and narratives will be prominently displayed across various media platforms, both physical posters and digital spaces, highlighting the hidden-in-plain-sight nature of the issue.
Interactive Elements
QR codes and interactive digital features allow individuals to delve deeper into the information, access resources for reporting suspicions, and understand the signs of trafficking.
The stark reality of human trafficking in the UK is the focal point of this design initiative. Intended to shake the public consciousness, the campaign illuminates the grim truth that individuals are being forcibly sold and exploited within the very fabric of everyday life. The disturbing rise in identified trafficking victims in the UK underscores the urgency of the matter. This design project seeks not only to educate but also to spur the public into vigilant action.
This campaign is built on the philosophy that to instigate change, one must first confront the uncomfortable truth. The design intentionally blurs the line between the banality of online shopping and the horror of human commodification, challenging viewers to recognize and report signs of trafficking.
